FAQs
Clear answers. Faster decisions. Smarter communication.
Whether you’re a coach exploring digital sign systems for the first time or a seasoned pro upgrading your game-day toolkit, you’ll find quick, straightforward answers to the most common questions below.
Security & Reliability
How long does it take for signals to reach players?
Less than 1 second.
Will the system work if I play in areas with bad cell phone coverage or no Wi-Fi?
Yes! Our system operates independently of communication networks, ensuring instant, reliable delivery – every time, everywhere.
Can signs be intercepted?
No. Your communication is fully encrypted and completely secure. Signals are sent directly to your team’s devices—nothing leaks, nothing broadcasts publicly, and nothing can be “picked off” by the other dugout.
How far can the system transmit?
Farther than you’ll ever need on a baseball or softball field. Seriously—your range won’t be the limitation. If you want to test the outer limits for fun, go for it.
Are Game Day Signals legal for high school and college play?
Yes. Our system meets current NFHS and NCAA compliance guidelines for electronic communication. Always check your local/state association rules to confirm.
Functionality & Features
Does the device support letters, numbers, or both?
Both! Early versions were number-only, but coaches can now send letters, numbers, or combinations depending on their preferred system. Want to dive deeper into setup ideas? Check out our Blog for tips, templates, and new use cases.
How many players can receive the sign at once?
As many as you need. Whether you’re sending to a pitcher/catcher pair or a full offensive and defensive unit, everyone receives the signal instantly and simultaneously.
Can receivers send anything back to the coach?
No. The system is intentionally one-way to keep gameplay simple, legal, and compliant. Keypads transmit → receivers display. That’s it.
Battery, Charging & Durability
How long does the battery last?
Each product carries a different charge time. The XR5 lasts 5-6 hours, XR15 8-10 hours, and T100 coach unit 10-12 hours.
How fast does it charge?
Each device will vary based on battery size, but a fully drained unit reaches full power in about 1.5 hours using a micro-USB charging cable.
Is the hardware durable?
Absolutely. Every device is built to handle dirt, sweat, weather, and regular game-day wear and tear.
Setup & Game-Day Workflow
Is Game Day Signals easy to use?
Extremely. Most teams get fully set up in under 10 minutes. No Wi-Fi. No apps. No complicated training. Just turn it on and go.
Do players need to know code systems?
No. They simply read the signal on their receiver. You can keep your existing system or update it—your call.
Can I use the system in practices too?
Yes! Many coaches use it to train younger players, streamline defensive shifts, and eliminate misreads during drills.
